Democrat Rants, the Associated Press and the hapless Kingsport Times News
Once again the Kingsport Times News is guilty of bias in reporting the news of the week. Once again the paper published in a medium sized Tennessee city ignored the most important political story of the week. The fairpress.org website in it’s Media Bias 101 lessons lists bias by story selection or bias by omission as being equivalent to bias by lie. The question is why would the Times News take such a biased course?
The unhinged rant by Democratic Senator Durbin comparing the prison at Guantanamo with the torture of Nazi concentration camps and Soviet Gulags was deselected by the Times News editors. A story where numerous Republican Senators took to the Senate floor and denounced the Democrat Senator form Illinois, some even calling for censure, was ignored. The story of a Democrat laboring mightily to bring down a President was ignored. The question is why?
Did the editors think their readers did not need to learn the Senator’s rant backfired and that they must shield their left wing agenda from the onslaught of harsh and justified criticism that resulted. Or, did the editors insulated from the world in a medium sized Tennessee city simply not know the events occurred? Since the Times News has only one link to the outside world, the fact that they did not know is a reasonable assumption.
The Times News has only one usable link to the world, the Associated Press wire. A wire is a 19th century expression for a telegraph line. If the AP decides that a story is contrary to it’s agenda of bringing down a President, the story doesn’t make it on the wire. If a story doesn’t propagandize the agenda, it doesn’t exist. Omission is bias. The bias was shown earlier when the AP and the TN failed for many days to report the substance of Dan Rather's attempt to foist fradulent documents as truth. Such is also the case with the Durbin story.
The Times news is slavishly bound to the AP and permits no other sources of news even though more reliable and significantly more truthful. The Times News lives in the 1930’s world of a telegraph wire and telex machine with only one source of national and international news at the other end. Even though there is good TN coverage of the world of computers and of the internet, use by the paper is apparently not editorially permitted. The Times News by relying on a terminally biased AP has degenerated into a purely local news source. The Times News in an unreliable and untruthful source of real news beyond the county line.

Barbarism and the New York Times
Once again the New York Times has chosen to give aid and comfort to the enemy by trumping up inane molehills into mountains. The hue and cry raised against the prison at Guantanamo Bay is a good indication of the extreme depth of the loser mentality whereby a fictitious issue must be raised. This nonissue is then propagandized endlessly in a vain attempt to make it true and achieve a black eye on the President.
The charges of American barbarism are laughable. The trivial acts even if true are nonsensical. The charges are shouted from the Times merely to have something to shout. The Times has proven to be a liar over recent months and the current episode lacks the solid feel of truth. The leftist radical publisher longs for the days in the early 70’s when his antiAmerica antiwar mindset was crammed down the throats of the American population.
The Times has shown unequivocally that in the war on terrorism or the war in Iraq not only are they not with us, but they are squarely against us. The Times publisher and editors have made it their duty to write and publish any thing that will inflame the American public into once again deserting those things that in the best interest of the Republic to take a course of idealistic suicide. The Times like Jane Fonda and John Kerry holds the position that it is better to support enemies than to support their own government. The only course of the Times is to regain the lost power to dictate public opinion and national action.
Extremism in defense of Liberty is said to be no vice. Extreme actions defending Liberty against the treasonous rants of the New York Times are justifiable. The publisher of the New York Times should be confronted in his very own office, bound and shackled and then drug through the streets of New York, the very city attacked by the enemies he so zealously aids. His pinkened blob of cartilage and bone should be swung from a high place in Times Square, a reminder that good people can be riled to the point that barbarism, real and authentic, can surface in a population completely fed up with the likes of the New York Times. Panties on a prisoner’s head are trivial when compared to being drug till skinned, a real punishment for a real despicable crime against the Republic.

The Mighty Dan crawls to Larry King
MRC report on Dan Rather's appearance on Larry KIng live.....
"Dan Rather reiterated to CNN's Larry King on Thursday night that he believes the memos, in his National Guard hit piece on President Bush, were genuine. Rather emphasized how "the documents were part of a fairly wide array of information we had" and were "supported by all kind of things other than the documents"
A favorite propaganda tactic is to tell the big lie and tell it often. If the lie is repeated loud and long it achieves a semblance of truth.
Dan Rather was thrown out of CBS on his butt for telling the big lie. Dan is an old man and can't accept the reality of his irrelevance following the failed big lie. His problem is the often part of the equation. He no longer has a real platform so he was forced to bend his knees and crawl to CNN for an opportunity to repeat the lie. He was forced to go on Larry King. What an embarassing debacle. Dan Rather whining to Larry King tat he was not only truthful but the forged documents were real and only part of a trove of other such support.
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
I wonder if he saved the unvalentines sent by the unlovers at FRee Republic and Operation Valentine?
