Contrasting Poor and Good Hurricane Reporting...... Rita VS: Molly
This will be a post for the record to compare and contrast the capabilities and inadequacies of two Fox reporters..... Rita Braver and Molly Hennenburg.
Some time back, Rita Braver was assigned the beat of Norfolk I think, perhaps Virginia Beach, when a hurricane was coming up the coast out of Hatteras and the outer banks. It was in the evening and Rita was positively gushing in fear as she reported in the rain. The rain and wind were present and there had been a hurricane but Rita completely lost it and allowed her emotions to take control as she reported pending death and destruction. She was horrified and seemed to have never actually been outside in the rain.She did not bother to learn the hurricane had been downgraded to a tropical storm.
In the next FOX segment, the reporter north of Rita reported it was all over, the wrath of the storm rung out in North Carolina. He made Rita a fool for allowing emotions to control and misreport the events.
Contrast that with the also blonde and blue eyed and heavily degreed Molly Hennenburg. Although not positioned on the coast, Molly was still in an actual category 1 hurricane passing through Mississippi. The rain was pelting and the wind was blowing and Molly, calm as a cucumber carefully related the events of the day where she was. In her late reports a beaming Molly was right on target with an Excellency report of the situation.
It should be remembered that Molly is the only reporter to enter Najaf and interview the grand Immam. She discreetly covered her hair but she charmed the old man tight out of his drawers and had a fantastic interview.
Rita is gone........ long live Molly

The MSM creates a shill to make it through August
The anti war MSM has found a shill to provide some thing to occupy space and time through the blight of August when nothing happens. The shill is the distraught and many believe disturbed Cindy Sheehan. Her anger at the world that disagrees with her is motivating her into deeper and deeper hot water.
It can be argued that Cindy hates her son Casey. If hate is too strong the perhaps extremely angry is a better descriptive.
Cindy is extremely angry with her son Casey. He disregarded her radical leftwing pacifist rants and joined the Army. He chose to make his will to be a good American soldier superior to her antiAmerica, Antiwar will.
Now he is dead and she can do nothing but rant about it all being someone else's fault. A mother's failure to direct him along the pacifist path, the guilt for the failure and then the guilt for the death are unbearable. Her son was disobedient and rubbed her nose in his disdain.
Her only recourse is to like a three yearold, have a public tantrum. The tantrum is loved by the MSM and is being widely disseminated.
There is no grief at Camp Casey, there is only bitter unresolvable anger.
